Meetings and Events Coordinator

8 Northumberland Avenue, London's most central venue, is looking for a Meetings and Events Coordinator as part of a placement work experience, to join our team of venue and event experts.

Job Description

  • - Have some experience working in events;

    - Enjoy a challenge and are unafraid of hard work;

    - Have excellent communication skills both spoken and written;

    - Are a competent administrator who is tech literate, organised and detail conscious;

    - Have good interpersonal skills and enjoy meeting new people;

    - Have a passion and interest in food and beverage;

    - Remain calm under pressure.

  • - Have sole responsibility for small meeting room bookings from initial enquiry stage;

    through to greeting the client on the day of the meeting;

    - Ensure that the member of staff servicing the event or meeting room is fully briefed;

    on all the relevant details and client requirements;

    - Convert meeting room enquiries into profitable confirmed business and hand over all;

    relevant information to the operations teams;

    - Complete all administrative documentation in a timely manner with all relevant detail;

    and assist sales, marketing, and operations team as and when required.- Deliver five-star customer service to our clients;

    - Represent 8 Northumberland Avenue as a brand ambassador;

    - Take part in brainstorming ideas to improve the sales experience;

    - Be responsive to client requests.

You will be supporting sales and clients as part of an energetic dynamic team for the venue and our catering companyAlchemyLive, as well as supporting overall business objectives for 8 Northumberland Avenue and the Hamilton Boyd Group.

This is a paid internship role, envisaged as a one-year fixed term contract where you will gain a clear vision of what you want to do aligned with your personality and skills and could lead to a permanent position within this vibrant people focussed business.
