Our fast-expanding group of event companies, based in central London, is currently seeking a Marketing Executive to join the Hamilton Boyd Marketing department. As a member of our marketing department, you will collaborate on various projects related to all the brands under our group.

Job Description

• Have a proven experience in a marketing role (1+ years), with a preference for candidates who have experience in the hospitality industry or events sector.
• Have a genuine passion for marketing, staying abreast of the latest techniques and trends.
• Have a strong understanding of digital marketing, social media, and content creation.
• Have a proficiency in social media platforms, content creation tools, video editing software, and design software (e.g., Sprout social, Canva).
• Have excellent copywriting skills
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Have the ability to manage a diverse and busy workload efficiently, strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Have excellent interpersonal skills, enabling you to build strong relationships with colleagues and external partners.
• Have enthusiasm for continued learning and proactive research to stay updated on industry trends.
• Have the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Have proactivity, initiative, and a strong sense of responsibility and self-management.
• Have an enthusiastic approach to problem solving.
• Knowledge of central London's events and entertainment landscape is a plus.

• Day to day lead for agreed-upon marketing activities and reporting, in line with the marketing strategy and with oversight of the Marketing Manager.
Content (Copy and Media):
• Develop, execute, and optimize content for various channels, including social media, websites, email marketing, blogs, and printed and digital materials.
• Serve as the primary copywriter for website blog articles, white papers, and various marketing materials, ensuring consistent messaging and aligning with brand voice and objectives.
• Optimise content for search engines and measure its performance
• Oversee or outsource the design of physical and digital assets including marketing collateral, social media assets, infographics, sales material, internal and external newsletters, and video creation.
Social Media:
• Lead the planning, creation, management, reporting, and refinement of social media platforms (Instagram and LinkedIn).
• Develop and execute social media campaigns as well as continuously monitor and optimise them.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest social media best practices and trends, and apply them to campaigns
Website:
• Managing and optimising websites, ensuring that they’re up-to-date and have the right information, and look professional.
• Coordinate the updating of third-party websites with accurate and up-to-date brand information and content.
Email:
• Lead the planning, creation, management, reporting, and refinement of the monthly newsletter or occasional e-shots.
Analytics:
• Assist in tracking and analysing campaign performance, providing feedback and recommendations to improve effectiveness.
Research:
• Monitor industry trends and competitors' activities to identify opportunities for differentiation.
• Conduct market research to identify target audiences and tailor marketing efforts accordingly.
Data Management:
• Manage data clean-up and maintenance to ensure accuracy and quality of our database.
Admin:
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging, branding, and alignment with marketing objectives.
• Produce a monthly report of marketing-influenced results and insights related to the agreed activities for use in the board report.
• Collaborate with the marketing manager to update the marketing PO sheet.
• Maintain and update the 'Marketing Planner Board' in collaboration with the Marketing Manager.
• Support administrative tasks related to marketing initiatives and projects as directed.
• Build and manage a network of specialized suppliers to help deliver marketing objectives.

This is a standalone role with autonomy over a wide variety of activities, mainly including content creation, social media, email marketing, and website management. You will have the independence and confidence to work alone, coupled with a willingness to invest time in developing skills.
